I'm trapped in my mind
My darkest memories plaguing me
Replaying in slow motion
Eating away at my very soul

Daring me to do that which I have worked so hard to avoid
Yet it seems there is no escape
Not now, not ever

The pain, the suffering, the sorrow
Each like a dagger digging deeper into me
And I realize, while you were everything to me

I was nothing to you
Nothing but a temporary fix
A fix for that addiction that fuels you
The addiction that in the end
Will destroy you
