I read a statement from an online article that made me change how I view legitimate content in a profound way:
“the reason people are moving away from piracy is that it’s simply more hassle than it’s worth.”

Dati, libangan ko ang manuod sa mga iba't-ibang streaming sites pati na magdl online. pero tumigil na ko at marami sa mga kakilala ko ang na-curious kung bakit..
para sa akin, it’s the safety and security, pati na rin sa expenses. dati, lagi nagkakaroon ng viruses yung laptop ko. sobrang bumagal siya at na-corrupt yung files ko bigla. as a result, I had it fixed and it was a hassle. kasama na dyan yung threat sa privacy ng information ko na pwedeng madamay once may viruses and malware na sa device ko. this is the reason why I opt for streaming services with legitimate content instead like netflix and viu. yun lang ay may bayad nga ang mga ito pero at least kampante aka dahil alam kong it's safe. I realised that I was actually paying for the comfort and convenience.

para sainyo, what would make you choose to go for legitimate content instead? and which streaming service/s do you use for it?

tama to paps.. pero sa mga legit sites ka dapat nagdodownload at ung konti lang ads.
netflix kahit ndi na magbayad.. monthly subs ka lang.ung free nila.. virtual card lang gamitin mo or Credit card mo tlga..wala naman bayad basta cancel mo lang subs.

Gamit ka na lang ts ng mga adblock at antivirus na free. Or browser na may built in nun. Tapos dun ka sa mga trusted sites.

I think I'd go for legitimate content thinking na it's more secured, less tendencies of being häçked (although may possibility padin) but compared to pirated, baka mas worth it. Like bayad ka nalang sa netflix. Haha

Well I, for me, uses Netflix din kase walang pop-ups, no ads, no incoming sites na hindi ko naman ni-click. Anjan kse ang siste na may free site for free movies, pero di mo alam puro bug na ung device mo. So, I'd still opt to use legitimate sites pa din.

yes to trusted sites, always natuto na talaga ako. salamat sa advice, will look into the antivirus you mentioned

true, it's better not to risk it and just go for legit sites. kahit may bayad, at least it's the safer alternative

I agree. nakakapraning at nakakainis din kasi manuod if puro ganun. hindi ko na tuloy na-eenjoy yung pinapanuod ko kaya sayang din.
