🕯️ Traditions Which came first, Animals or Man? Understanding Genesis 1:25-27 and Genesis 2:18-19.

I hope this post will answer some "misunderstandings" about the chronological order of Creation.




God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." (Genesis 1:25-27).
---This verses stated that Animals were created first before Man.

The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. (Genesis 2:18-19).
---This verses stated that Man was created first before Animals.... Is it?

The simplest answer for this is, Animals WERE CREATED FIRST before Man.
Then why did in Genesis 2:18-19 it was stated that animals were formed after man?

The original text for the word "formed" there is yatsar which is a PLUPERFECT FORM which might mean, formed or pre-formed (already formed). Meaning that animals where ALREADY FORMED before Adam and God brought them to him to be named.
The English translation stayed with "formed" which is a PERFECT FORM.
Notice also this, The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make A HELPER suitable for him. A HELPER. Singular. God is NOT pertaining to the animal(s) as Adam's helper but to EVE. Adam's Helper/Wife.
