Sir. ang evolution po ay possibly takes atleast 100,000 of years or even a million of years, so if you are suggesting it to observe, i guess you have a wrong understanding about evolution.
now there are numerous way para malaman, ma-test na ang isang organism ay nag-evolve (ex. Fossils, Embryology.. nakalimutan ko na iba) .
now regarding sa theory, actually pinagtatalunan na lang nila is kung tatawagin pa siyang theory or tatawagin na siya as objective truth because of the overwhelming number of evidence about it.
Lets be clear about Faith (you are playing semantics).
Faith(religious side) is believing something without evidence/proof.
now if you are referring to Faith(Trust) then i might say you are right.

Enyweys, to answer your question. I believe that religion (or obsession of it) stunts critical thinking. If you would notice, the things that preoccupy pinoys minds are: religion, gossip and entertainment. This becomes more apparent due to social media.
How many pinoy have you heard talk about what's going on in society, with the environment. How many people or posts have you seen on social media that mentions "god is good", "bahala is lord" or something along those lines.
Now let me reverse the question. Paano mo nasabi na hindi correlated ang obsession sa religion sa nation's progress?
1. What if you created dozens or hundred of posts here? Am I then supposed to shut up because I failed to see something? If you think your posts answered my question, l am worried that I think otherwise. Besides, I asked you by me/myself/I and not those people (or in behalf) you are having discussions lately.
2. What is the necessary connect among religion, gossip and entertainment?
How religion stunts critical thinking?
What if someone says "God is good"? Is that person stupid or unthinking?
3. I think you are not reversing a question. You are in a wrong term. I am yet in exploration mode. You think you made your case? Where? What?? Where is your analysis and I see none. All I see is jumping to conclusion.

If you see other societies which are preoccupied with different thoughts (science, arts, technology, literature) vs our country which is preoccupied with what I have stated, what do you make of it?
Which one would choose for your people to be obsessed with? Me, I know what I would choose.

If you want to find logical, extensive, analytic backing - go back to the very beginning of our country. Read 100s or 1000s of history books, talk to hundred of historians, political scientists. And finally make up your mind. Can you do that? That will satisfy your bullshit.
