God is there dont breath air. So " God created man in his own image" is not True. Because man need air to breath; to live; to talk. I wonder He/She/It looked like. Then by then we can consider the book is not True.

The only close to these is "If God created everything from nothingness the He - Himself is nothingness."

Sa Christian philosophy/theology context, in the image of God may mean..man/woman/human/tao/homo sapiens...is capable of thinking the finite-infinite of things. Man can reason (logical/scientific/philosophical/spiritual). Can love, merciful, compassionate, spiritual etc.

God created things out of nothing means...God didn't use primordial-material things as if God is only shaper of things from primordial materials. Instead, we came forth from His thoughts. In the beginning there was.nothing..it refers to the material realm and human consciousness...

I am not defending Christianity or theism..but we should explore deeper on knowledge or cultures that we superficially judge. Present each case with justice.
