cs graduate here (cum laude pa hahaha), mostly puro theories, algos and logic ang mga core subject samin. Halos hindi kami nag hahardware actual, puro software activities. :). Search mo sa google yung 'automata', one of the subject yan sa CS. :)

balitang balita: isdang nag aaral lumangoy, nalunod! 🤣

aralin mo ts in order:
1. algorithm
2. pseudocode and flowchart
3. c++
4. html, css
5. javascript
6. vb.net/c#/java

go with the algo, flowchart tsaka depende sa school niyo kung ano specialty nilang programming language pero samin kasi c++ for foundation of php. Second year survivor of comsci here

Enjoy mo lng pag programming kasi maaadik kas sa codes. Mostly kasi para kang detective at the same time killer.

as graduating computer science
and java programming language, kasi pag may alam ka sa multi platform nato you can create windows, android, ios applications.
just focus.

js is already powerful enough for those tasks. Mobile - react native, desktop app (electron, node.js). Java's learning curve is steep but powerful.

other colleges level
ask ko lang po sna kung anu ang best na i study pra sa first year college about sa computer science
kasi gusto lang maging ready so sna

This depends on the college. I'll tell you my experience in the US and in the Phil so you get two perspectives:

In the US (I won't mention the college), as Computer Science and Computer Engineering, both have the same subjects for first year students.

  • Calculus
  • English
  • Humanities
  • Algorithms and Data Structures
  • A basic programming class (maybe C, JavaScript, or Java)

In the Phil, as Computer Science, I'd say it was more basic:

  • Algebra (this puzzles me when you have already passed Calculus)
  • English (another puzzle when you have taken advanced English classes in the US)
  • Physical Ed
  • Algorithms and Data Structures
  • A basic programming class (maybe VisualBasic lol or Pascal)
  • Typing
  • Chemistry/Physics

I'd say focus on learning algorithm and data structures because it's more aligned with Computer Engineering/Science/Programming/Development.

However, keep in mind the following:

Computer Science is not the same as Programmer or Software Developer or Software Engineer.

Computer Engineering is not the same as Electrician.

Apples and oranges comparison.
