Usually, if same resolution, bitrates yung main factor.
Advantages?
If it's the original bluray source, then a lot of viewing pleasure.
If 720p 8-bit x264 encode lang yan, not much if around the same bitrate rin yung small encoded anime. So, if space (or internet) is a main concern, use the 10-bit or x265 encodes. If hindi naman, and video players are a problem, stick to what's usual (or normal).

mas maliit pero like i said sa long answer ko, di masyadong sync yung video at audio (delayed) if sa phone lang, so AVC pa rin ako if phone gamit ko.
But if taghirap talaga, may mga groups na small file size lng kahit AVC, lower yung bitrate pero hindi obvious, lalo na if sa phone lng.
If buhay pa yung animepahe, try mo dun. Hard-coded subs but they always choose the best subs. Usually, less than 60-100mb lng file size dun.

either.. for personal use lng naman at pag hindi ako busy. to HEVC madalas. 8bit if may gusto e-save sa phone yung kapatid ko.

Handbrake , x265 10bit , variable framerate
15 minutes encoding, per 24minute na anime episode.
hindi ka mahilig mag-tweak?

Tweaked na yan, and yan na pinaka-optimized (i think), hindi ko lang nailista yung ibang modifications.
AAC passthru, weak denoise, fast decode,,, anything else is default.

Ano ba settings nyo? and gaano kabilis encoding nyo? Nakakaabot din kayo ng 100degrees celcius?
