WINRAR WAS REPORTED TO HAVE CARRIED A 19-YEAR OLD VULNERABILITY.

THE CULPRIT? A THIRD-PARTY FILE CALLED "UNACEV2.DLL" NA NASA INSTALLER FILES NI WINRAR NOONG WAY BACK 2005 PA. ANG SILBI NITO THEN IS TO SUPPORT ACE-COMPRESSED FILES PERO MATAGAL NA DAW NA HINDI HAWAK NG WINRAR ANG CODE NITO.

ANG GAGAWIN NG MGA ATTACKERS, PAPALAMAN NILA YANG "UNACEV2.DLL" NG MALWARE TAPOS ISKOCONVERT NILA FROM ACE FILE TO WINRAR.
DAHIL DITO NAG-RELEASE NA ANG WINRAR NG WINRar VERSION 5.70 beta 1 NA KUNG SAAN WALA NA YONG THIRD-PARTY DLL FILE.
ANG SOLUSYON OR WORKAROUND:
Windows users are advised to install the latest version of WinRAR as soon as possible and avoid opening files received from unknown sources.

Dahil may older version ako ng WinRAR (WinRAR 5.21(64-bit);Copyright @ 1993-2015), chineck ko siya sa
C:\\Program Files\WinRAR Folder
and true enough andun pa nga siya therefore vulnerable ang aking PC sa pagreceive ng ACE-Malwared File


nung 2005 pa pala daw tong UNACEV2.dll


pero nung inupdate ko into latest version, wala na sya
