Fanatic
may nakapag try na po ba ditio nang machine translation sa japanese novels?

ang naiisip ko po kasi ay padaanan na lang ung novel na binabasa ko ngayon sa google translate then i-grammarly ko naman after para hindi masakit sa ulo basahin. May mas efficient pa bang way bukod dito? or hintay hintay na lang ako nang translator?

That's a really bad idea..

Japanese is contextual.
A word can have different meanings and the only way to tell is through the situation it is being used.

The issue isn't the grammar but in the chance that some meanings may be lost in the translation.

hintay hintay kna lang, ts. although, depende sa book.. if novel and hindi LN, matagal tagal rin

That maybe a good reason why there is no machine translator yet.
I remember before when I was translating English to Filipino, an ordinary sentence was changed into something horrifying.

Maybe in the future there will be some AI that can translate the whole thing properly or baka Mas maunahan ko pang matutuhang mag Japanese(hoping for the impossible lol)

Thanks din bro

Well, if you learn languages fast, there is no harm in trying.. baka translation mo pa yung sumikat 😺

pero I hope when Baidu's done perfecting Chinese, they turn their attention to Japanese NLP… fingers crossed

Although, you did remind me about another option:
if you ever find a french or maybe spanish translation of that novel, then that's what you feed google translate.

and your welcome rin neechan!

spanish and french people have it easy if their language can be easily translated.

I remember when I watched no game no life sora said something like you can learn a language by finding links to the language you know of cause they are something like connected?
Hopping that its true, well its good to hope...

Oh?! You didn't know? They are called Romance Languages for a reason.
The grammar is close to English, so it's easier to translate. And, someone who got tired of waiting for a fansub group actually did that method on an anime special.

In a way, that is true. Many languages are interconnected. But sometimes, the connections can be misleading, so I won't lightly suggest that to anyone if they are not into etymology. Although, it's a good trick to motivate someone to pick up a new language.
But yeah, I have to admit, knowing another language still does help in acquiring a new one that has similarities to it.
