Partly YES, but NO. Gabriel Mata Cornelio, also known for his signature "GMC" is not the father of FreeNet. Have you heard of "dzebb"? He's indeed the father of freenet. GMC is just the defacer/modifier of those applications that has been originally modified by dzebb.

Secondly, not all apps that was labled with " GMC" are safe. Do you know why? Because there's no proof that those apps that was labled with "GMC" or something like "Modified by Gabriel Mata Cornelio" were really his modifications. Anyone can use his name. Anyone can also use dzebb's name. One can only prove that the shared fb lite app from this thread is a genuine modification if GMC himself shared it to the public.

I hope I have given you a sort of idea.

as i remember, "DZEBB" is the mentor of "GMC"

as i remember Nokia N70 or in Nokia Series can install OM jar.

but "DZEBB" stop when the android 2.0 release.

"GMC" continue his legacy being defacer/modifier.
