the backlights have gone out in most of the screen and I am wondering if it makes sense to try and repair this and if so where online can i get these lights to buy?

if you are here in manila you can go t quiapo and buy the backlight of your tv but you have to dismantle it first to show what kind of backlight your going to buy.

I am going to dismantle the tv so I can know what lights to buy, what would you say the difficulty level is?

also do specific tv`s use their own types of L.E.D`s or is it the size of the L.E.D strip that matters?

just do it gently and caution the screen panel is so thin and brittle just look at how to dismantle panel screen on youtube so you will know what your dealing with

try reheating the gpu in it....and the wafer connector as well or the flex cable cause it sometimes lose a bit....hope it helps...
