hi im a dumb person and this is what i think:

if you have a crap internet then even if you use applications that are either modded to change DNS to make it "faster" then it's useless.

and ya example, you're gonna download a movie from ex: You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now. and you're from the philippines then its gonna be quite slow, and if you use a DNS that is near from france then it would affect your speed BUT not really "increase" your speed.

Its just what converts the website address into numerical IP, if I'm not mistaken? And sometimes the address that gets used up more are slower so we change the numerical IP of the "address" into other DNS handlers with less traffic to avoid the delay. Imho
