we are metaphors
twisting in time.
you are my words,
and i am your lines.

we are paragraphs
blooming with prose.
our hands never stop
with an ending and close.

we are two poets,
we say no goodbyes.
but you ran out of words.
and i ran out of rhymes.

tell me,
should I stop or continue?

tell me, am I not enough for you?

when you're my world,
and I'm your universe.

I know it's you,
so let's make this clear...

Am I waiting in vain?
or I shall tell it to the marine?

just wondering what do you mean by the last line and the word marine.
hmmm it's a term like "tell it to the marine" an idiomatic E×ρréššion that simply means like you're telling a story to a person but the person you know won't believe you . . like it's a ridiculous one ...
