VPS? Virtual Private Server. Did you know naman na VPS ginagamit sa pag gamit ng VPN. But, did you know also that you can do anything from the VPServer?

VPS can be web/app hosting. PHP Nodejs MySQL MongoDB etc.
VPS can be reverse proxy.
And many more...

But para sa mga PHP Dev diyan, I know PHP widely used. Pero may competence na siya which is Nodejs backend development. And yung webhosting sites pinapalitan na ng VPS. Why? VPS supports SSD storage unlike webhosting sites.

But don't worry, its not the end of PHP and Webhost, ginagamit parin yan as of now, and hindi mawawala yan. The reason lang is that Nodejs mabilis siya sa response ng data especially socketio ginagamit para sa push notifications. Kasi Nodejs and socketio ginagamit sa google realtime mapping like grab/uber and any gps tracker. Pero may competence rin sila which Firebase,geocasts and firecasts.

Well, to put this as my conclusions, its up to you what programming languages or hosting server you'll gonna used, as long you had a good programming experience. Pero take note lang na its getting evolving. Friendster vs Facebook, Myspace vs twitter, etc.
