First, there was Carrot Man. Now, meet Popcorn Girl.
Snaps of a girl with an angelic face selling popcorn have gone viral over social media—but her kind heart is the real story here.
Lourilyn Alvaran found herself in the spotlight after a netizen took photos of her selling popcorn from a stall in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
A 24 Oras report by Dano Tingcungco on Sunday, however, clarified that Lourilyn was not really a popcorn seller: she was just helping a child sell the treat.
The 14-year-old said it was not the first time that she has helped a vendor. She said she can relate with their hardships as she remembers her mother, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).
Lourilyn said her intention was only to help other people.
'Yun lang po," she said. — Anna Felicia Bajo/BM, GMA News
