PHThe blood springs, which are known as one of the “Bepu jigoku” (Hell of Japan), include nine spectacular natural thermal springs which are more appropriate to be seen than to bath into. The reddish color is due to the high iron level in the hot waters. The temperature is 90 degree and the surrounding steam, even the locals refer to the area as hell.
