I dont think malakas magconsume ng kuryente ang mga recent procs like ryzen or 8th gen intel lalo na ung mga locked core series since focus na sila more on efficiency which is makikita mo sa idle and full load watt consumption nya. And may advantage ang pc compared sa laptop and that is cooling and that it turns to longetivity of parts.

actually during sa various architecture changes ng both Intel at AMD sa kanilang CPUs, di naman noticeable ang changes sa power consumption, pero applicable lang ito starting with 2nd Gen Sandy Bridge Core, Pentium, at Celeron series (e.g. yung Core i3 3240 ko 55w pero yung Core i3-8100 na latest 54w ang max consumption, despite sa malaking performance changes)

also tama din sa part nga mas better ang longevity ng parts ng desktop kaysa laptop

Pati dagdag advantage ng desktop is modularity. Madali lang magswap ng hardware pati madaming choices compared pag sa laptop which is limited at minsan mahirap pa magswap.
