Anxiety can affect your eyes in a different way. Isa na jan yung pagkakaroon ng discomfort sa mata mo. I suggest magpatingin ka muna sa ophthalmologist, if wala silang makitang problema, maybe it's your anxiety that causes your eye problem. Tanong ko lang how long does it usually last? Yung sa mata mo?

Have you ever made an eye contact with yourself?

Can you talk to yourself while looking into the mirror? And remember to stare at your own eyes while doing so.

If you're able to look into your eyes and talk comfortably then practice is all you need while communicating with others.

Note: you could also try treating your mirror image as some other person and have a casual conversation with them. (Remember the famous drunk scene of Amitabh Bacchan :p)

Okay! On a serious note...

If you have problems making eye contact with your own self then that might indicate some innate personality issues which have gone unrealized.

There might be something about you that bothers you like your looks, your clothes or fashion sense in general, your height and/or your weight, your skin colour, your arena of knowledge vis-a-vis others, your vocabulary and/or accent, etc.

It's when such things bother us from within we don't find the confidence to hold up to an eye contact with the other person for a very long time.

Note: a good looking person or a person who is very high on self esteem will make exceptionally long eye contacts making it difficult for the other person to maintain one.

Ofcourse, not being able to look into someone's eyes could also indicate that one is blushing, or thinking hard or trying to hide their emotional state or just paying respect to an elderly person.

So, you need to find out the real cause behind this issue and start working on it.

Remember, everything in this world starts and ends with YOU. :)

Eye strain, or asthenopia, is when the eyes get tired from excessive or intense use. It can be annoying, but it tends to disappear with rest. Although it’s not often a serious condition, eye strain could be a symptom of an underlying problem. Eye strain is known to cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and headaches.

What Are the Treatment Options for Eye Strain?
Change: The first thing you can do is change your environment and work habits. By doing this you can relieve the pain without spending money on treatment.

If you’re in a dry environment, try using a humidifier. If you work on the computer, try taking more “eye breaks” by looking down the hall or out the window, or by closing your eyes for thirty seconds.

Treat the underlying cause: If there’s an underlying cause such as refractive error, get treatment for it. Talk with your eye-care professional as soon as possible to discuss options for treatment.

what i mean is how long nagtatagal yung discomfort sa mata? mga ilang minutes bago mawala.

pag wala ng nakapaligid saken yung kasama mo n lng is pamilya mo or ikaw n lng mag isa
I think ,pero hindi sure, na you're suffering from Social Anxiety Disorder. Ikaw na din nagsabi na nagkaroon ka ng depression and anxiety noon. May advice to you is to go to ophthalmologist and have your eyes check. Hindi kasi sure of what's causing your eye discomfort baka mata mo talaga ang problema. Better be sure than sorry. If walang makitang problema, go seek a psychiatrist para mabigyan ka nila ng proper medication and therapy.
