I'm an I.T student from Sti & kahapon we have this interesting topic in philosophy of a man tungkol kay
St. Augustine. where in, in his teaching he believes in "faith over reason".

My prof set a debate para sa topic na yon, sineperate nya yung naniniwala sa "faith over reason" & yung "reason over faith".
(Pinili ko "reason over faith")

Classmate kong girl nag start she ask
"do you believe in miracles?
How can you explain yung mga nagagamot na may mga malalang sakit through pananampalataya?
Gumaling sila without reason"

I said
"No, because miracles happens for a reason. Maybe di pa abot ng knowledge natin yung reason that's why we call it miracle, but I'm sure when we have the knowledge to explain the reason why that miracle happen, people won't call it a miracle".

Then after 5 more rebates nanalo yung reason over faith. But still di ako kontento sa result nung debate even tho group ko nanalo. So ka phc atheist and christians jan enlighten me

I have a Philo class, my professor asked my religion and I mentioned that Im an atheist. The whole class was shocked. Now my classmates are trying to avoid me haha and my professor always mention the topic about religion while making eye contact to me haha. Should I start a debate to my professor or just let it go? Feels like their discriminating me haha

Well it is appropriate to be discoursing this subject matter in a philosophy class just see to it that every body is unbiased towards their beliefs and should be free of their convictions. Wish you a healthy debate nyahahahahahaahaha

Pero what do you think guys? Kung susumahin, reason over faith yung lamang sa debate na to.
Ex: "nasa highway ka tumatawid may paparating na sasakyan mabilis and walang preno. Would you chose faith that di ka mababangga nung sasakyan or umilag(reason) ka because that's the more logical way na mabubuhay ka
I have this on my mind kahapon habang nag de debate di ko lang masabi kase baka mag over-over time na yung klase hahaha.

I still believe in God tho, even tho I chose reason over faith. Wala naman masama maging neutral, and sa tingin ko mas ok kung gagamitin both faith and reason.

basic lng to eh...respeto lng sa paniniwala mo...wag ipilit sa iba ang opinyon mo...kung tapos n ang topic wag ng balikan...matutung makuntento...mahaba p ang paglalakbay sa buhay...hayaan mong sa tamang panahon masagot mga katanungan mo. pero kung gusto mo maghanap ng kasagutan. wag masasaktan sa maririnig mo kasi gusto mo ng sagot kya tanggapin mo ng buong puso.
