Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 28) — Filipino-American actress Liza Soberano has the most beautiful face in the world, according to a group of critics.
Soberano topped The Independent Critics' annual list of “The 100 Most Beautiful Faces,” which was released Wednesday. Taking the second spot was French model and actress Thylane Blonde, while Japanese singer Tzuyu came in at third.
The Filipina actress placed sixth on the prestigious list in 2015, and second in 2016, the year English fashion model and actress Jourdan Dunn took the top spot. Other winners in the past were French actress Marion Cotillard and American actress Camila Belle.
Soberano also placed ahead of other Filipino actresses this year: Kathryn Bernardo in the 60th spot, Jessy Mendiola in 71st, Nadine Lustre in 78th, and Kim Domingo in 96th.
Other celebrities were also part of the list: Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke (27th), Suicide Squad actress Margot Robbie (33rd), and singer Selena Gomez (56th).
Meanwhile, Filipino-Australian singer and actor James Reid bagged the fourth spot in the critic groups’ “The Most 100 Handsome Faces” of the year. Korean pop artist Kim Tae-hyung landed in first place, followed by Hollywood actors Jason Momoa and Armie Hammer.
According to the website, the lists have been created by The Independent Critics led by British film critic TC Candler since 1990.
“Aesthetic perfection is only one of the criteria. Grace, elegance, originality, daring, passion, class, poise, joy, promise, hope…they are all embodied in a beautiful face,” the website read.
