I got a set of questions before I can say I have (or suggest) the book/s you might be interested in..
1. what's your current "drawing" experience? (i'm not asking if you're a total beginner or not because i just can't believe someone interested in drawing never picked up a pencil or pen and tried to draw, so what have you done so far? do you doodle? a lot?)
2. Any specific goals? (e.g. I want to be able to draw my fave Anime characters, make a portrait of someone or design buildings)
3. what's the medium you have in mind? (charcoal? pastels? colored pencils? pen?)
4. when you said drawing, did you mean sketching?

1. I doodle A LOT but It just that.. It doesn't improve like the animu style or the realistic style drawings.
T/N: I took up digital animation as a hobby subject back in college because I'm really interested in drawing but my prof failed me because.. yea my drawing sucks.
2. to be able to draw a person NA MAY LAMAN not just stick drawings and "looks-like-a-meme" type of drawing
3. I use 2B pen for drawing and 4H for sketching.
4. umm. yeah HAHA sorry for the unclear communication

ahm.. 4H for sketching?? you can't be serious right? tell me it's a typo and you meant 4B asap.
and if the hours you've spent on drawing didn't really amount to anything you wanted, i don't think you need a book, you need a person who has the patience to work on you. I think you need a teacher.
