Good day mga ka PHC!

Sa pilipinas meron tayong 2 major local ISP (PLDT and Globe)

Meron silang mga promo like:

PLDT up to 3Mbps 5Mbps 10Mbps 15Mbps (unlimited/no capping)

Globe up to 5Mbps 20Mbps 100Mbps 200Mbps 500Mbps 1Gbps (certain allocation)

bale ganito po yan, need naten i convert ung Mbps into (KB/s Mb/s)

mag kaiba ang po Mbps sa MB/s okay?!

example naka PLDT 5Mbps promo ako, see below image for convertion

link ng online convertion: You do not have permission to view the full content of this post. Log in or register now.

Hope naka tulong ako :)

It's more of History of Computer / Technology

When measuring speed (internet, rate, packet, etc.), you're more concerned on how a bit is transferred kaya ang unit ay bits per second.

When it comes to file size, multiple bits are being sent at the same time (8 bits = 1 byte) kaya ang unit ay byte(s).

so 2mbps is equal to 2000kbps
2000 kbps รท 8 = 250 kBps (real speed) kilobytes(capital b)

b = bits
B = byte

Just search, for example, "100 megabits in mebibytes."
