if you try proxy cascading.. you'll see a big difference.. 20:60 ratio..
before i used to deploy ss + browser only = 1-3mbs lang,.. i tried cascading it with privoxy with tons of filter/user.actions and blockers/ant-tracker/no script etc. etc... i get 80% on peak hours. hence; that's 8mbps from 9am-9pm and 12-15mbs at 10pm till u drop.. heheheh. try CCproxy, its easy to use
