Well, it depends on the people you're encountering on those forums. Sometimes you'll feel like out of place because not all Filipinos were proficient and can understand english language well.

Nicely said. But did you try sites that really have professionals in english? I bet they'll make me out of place, really bad. :)

Yeah, I have an account with something similar to PHC which is an internet and tech forum, they all were discussing about network tweaks, vpns and the like. They were like professionals in networks! But let's not get into that. Hehe forum rules.
 
Nice thread and I'm glad that you wanted to help our fellow citizens to learn and practice English even in a local website.

By the way.. I just want to recommend a software that can help whoever are here in this thread to improve their English proficiency. It is called Rosetta Stone. If you are willing to learn more, just search for a pirated copy of it in the web and then after you install the software, download an English language course for this software. You could also learn other languages like Japanese or even our own language.

This will be useful especially for those who wanted to take a job as a call center agent or for working abroad.

Hope my English wasn't that bad.. ☺

Glad you got hooked by my recommendation. :)

There's an android version but I haven't tried that one. What I use is a pc software. It's easy to learn using that software. It will help you too to improve your accent.

I downloaded it to learn Japanese too. :D

You have to download levels 1 to 3 of the Japanese course for Rosetta. It can be used offline.

Yeah, :) talking about othwr websites will attract warnings. We must be careful. Lols. So, did you find this thread as somewhat stimulating? I hardly post here because I'm busy entertaining the newbie out there. I need to welcome them for I cherish the noobs. And, to tell you frankly, I want to increase my posts. Wahaha Don't get me wrong, I've been here since 2013 but I still have 200+ posts. Duh! I feel so embarrassed. Wahaha
How about you? What is your PHC life story?

I've had an account since 2015 but only got active this year. I came here searching for free internet, but since I was too lazy back then, I didn't make an effort to study and comprehend the tools needed (proxifier, psiphon, and other ac tools). But since I'm currently an IT student, I can understand a bit when it comes to the tricks regarding bypassing the internet, and so, here I am. Hahahaha:):):)
 
Zorlmsaj I only used it for learning Japanese though what ever language that software uses, it'll teach you like you're being taught at an elementary school. That just describes how easy it is to learn using it. It makes use of photos to describe a word, sentence or maybe a paragraph, it teaches the user how to write Japanese symbols, it helps to improve the user's accent on that particular language that the software is teaching by making use of the microphone connected to your P.C., and there are other ways of teaching that I haven't encountered yet.

I only reached halfway through the beginner's course of the program. There are 3 courses to take to learn Japanese and with each course varying in difficulty.

I'm still busy with life but when I have free time, I'll be back learning with this tool.

There are also audio files included in it in case you're in a trip and away from your pc and also some files I haven't peeked on. Maybe, it contains some exercise files or some e-books to learn that language.
