Spotlight: NoChromo is basically Chrome for Android with an ad-blocker (no root)
In addition to dealing away with ads, NoChromo is very lean, and its fine-grained ad-blocking system puts it "square in the middle" between host-based ad-blocking and the mechanisms of more popular extensions.
We haven't noticed any hitches in our browsing sessions with NoChromo, although its developer warns of some codecs and other proprietary stuff missing from the Chromium source code - so your mileage may vary!
As with any ad-blocking app, NoChromo cannot be found in the Google Play store, which means you will have to sideload the app yourself. Just download the .apk to your device from the link below.
