Is rooting your Android phone still relevant nowadays?
I have a Tecno Spark 30C with 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and an underpowered Helio G81 processor.
I mainly use it as a backup phone—for browsing social media, mostly TikTok, and scanning documents with CamScanner. However, it’s as slow as a turtle, very laggy, and loaded with ads.
I’ve already debloated it and removed the annoying ads with help from Claude AI, but it’s still sluggish. That got me wondering whether rooting it would help.
Rooting doesn’t seem as popular as it used to be. Is it still useful today, especially for improving performance, or does it offer only minor benefits nowadays?
