FIFA Street, also called FIFA Street 4, or FIFA Street 2012, is a street football video game, the fourth game in the famous FIFA Street franchise. The game's cover simply reads FIFA Street, as, due to the commercial failure of its predecessor, EA Sports wanted to distance itself from it and opted for a revamp of the series. Unlike previous games, FIFA Street 4 more accurately captured the atmosphere of street football. For example, the goalposts don't always have a defined size, even eliminating the goalkeeper's role in many cases. Furthermore, football modalities rarely reproduced in video games, such as futsal, one-on-one (or small-sided football), and five-a-side football, are present in this game. According to Sid Misra, one of the game's developers, "what you know about FIFA Street 1, 2 and 3, you can forget. What we really want is to come out with the first great street football experience. There hasn't been one yet. So, we really wanted to create a game that had that atmosphere that was missing in past games."
This game introduced a new feature to football games: the "Last Man Standing" mode. It works like this: teams start with four outfield players and one goalkeeper. Every time a team scores a goal, they lose one of their players (in this case, the striker). Thus, they have to play with a numerical disadvantage. Once the opponent scores, they lose a player. A one-on-one situation is almost always the "end of the line" for a match. EA Sports brought this game mode back in FIFA 19.
