How to claim

1. Open the official trial page below.
2. Create a GitLab account or sign in.
3. Create or select a GitLab group when prompted.
4. Activate the Ultimate trial.
5. Open your group and go to Settings > GitLab Duo.
6. Open Agentic Chat and select an available model.

Important limitations

• No credit card is required to start the trial or use Duo Agentic Chat with the included credits.
• A card is required only if you choose to use GitLab.com shared CI/CD runners. GitLab may perform a $1 authorization check, but says no money is transferred.
• To avoid card verification, do not run jobs on GitLab-hosted instance runners. You can disable them with these steps:

  1. Open the GitLab project.
  2. Go to Settings > CI/CD.
  3. Expand the Runners section.
  4. Under Instance runners, turn off Turn on runners for this project.
  You need the Owner role to change this setting. If you only use Duo Agentic Chat and do not run CI/CD pipelines, a runner is not needed.
• The 24 credits are valid only during the 30-day trial and unused credits expire afterward.
• If all trial credits are consumed early, GitLab says you cannot obtain more through that trial.
• Model availability may vary. Check the live model selector in your GitLab namespace.
• Do not create multiple accounts to farm trial credits. Follow GitLab's Terms of Use.
