Description
Financial modeling is one of the most valuable skills in finance - used daily in investment banking, private equity, equity research, and corporate finance. This course teaches you how to build professional-grade models from scratch, entirely in Excel, through hands-on, real-company case studies.
You'll build a fully-integrated 3-statement model (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), forecasting revenue, costs, working capital, and capex using driver-based assumptions. From there, you'll calculate WACC and build a DCF valuation, apply comparable company and precedent transaction analysis, and construct a full Leveraged Buyout (LBO) model - including debt schedules, sources & uses, and returns analysis (IRR, MOIC). You'll also build an M&A/merger model covering accretion-dilution and purchase price allocation, then stress-test your work with sensitivity and scenario analysis.
No pre-built templates - every model is built line-by-line so you understand the logic behind each formula, plus the formatting and error-checking practices used by top firms.
This course is ideal for students and graduates preparing for IB/PE interviews, finance professionals sharpening their Excel skills, and anyone who wants to value companies and analyze deals with confidence.
By the end, you'll be able to independently build 3-statement models, DCF valuations, LBOs, and M&A models - the core toolkit for any career in finance.
