Plant-based milk is becoming more visible in Philippine consumer habits, particularly among health-conscious shoppers.
A 2026 Philippine consumer report identified plant-based milk alternatives among products seeing increased demand. The trend is part of a wider shift toward food choices that consumers associate with health, nutrition, and specific dietary preferences.
Soy, oat, almond, and other alternatives can now be found in more supermarkets and cafés than they once were. However, “plant-based” does not automatically mean nutritionally identical to dairy milk.
Comparing protein, calcium, sugar, and fortification on the label remains important when choosing between products.
