Legendary
Among the Ibanag of Cagayan, corn harvesting was traditionally preceded by a ritual called Pamusing.

The practice was connected specifically with the beginning of the corn harvest rather than being a general agricultural celebration. It shows that harvesting was once treated as a culturally significant transition, not merely the moment when crops were collected. The Philippine Intangible.

Cultural Heritage Inventory records this practice as part of Ibanag agricultural tradition. Interestingly, the inventory lists it separately from other Ibanag practices concerning *******cy and family life.

It gives us a glimpse into how different stages of farming could have their own customs.
