Description Designing Yoga Studios: The Art of Mindful Spaces explores how thoughtful design can support the way people experience, use, and care for yoga and wellness environments.

A yoga space is more than a room with mats. The arrangement of furniture, storage, lighting, artwork, natural elements, props, pathways, and personal objects can influence how comfortable, organized, and welcoming a space feels. In this course, you will learn to observe a space carefully, identify what belongs within it, and develop a practical design plan that reflects both function and intention.

We begin by looking at how environments affect the way people settle, focus, move, and rest. You will explore the relationship between space and experience while considering indoor, outdoor, shared, professional, and home practice environments.

From there, you will learn how photography can be used as a tool for observation, documentation, and design. You will consider what objects truly earn a place in your environment and how existing furniture, artwork, antiques, props, and personal belongings can often be repurposed rather than replaced.

The course also introduces approachable methods for exploring your design ideas through sketches, floor plans, digital tools, and AI-assisted visualization. No professional design software or previous interior design experience is required.

Finally, you will consider how to communicate and maintain your design once it is put into use. Clear organization, storage, labeling, and shared expectations become especially important when a space is used by multiple instructors, students, colleagues, clients, or family members.

Whether you are creating a yoga studio, adapting a wellness practice, bringing yoga into a multipurpose environment, or developing a dedicated practice space at home, this course will help you approach the process with greater clarity, creativity, and intention.

Come prepared to observe, experiment, repurpose, and imagine what your space can become.
