🍏 iOS You're probably using your iPhone wrong.

1.

  • What it does: Triggers actions simply by double or triple-tapping the physical back of your phone.
  • How to enable: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap. Assign actions like Screenshot, Camera, or Flashlight to either a Double Tap or Triple Tap.

2.

  • What it does: Converts your entire keyboard into a precision trackpad so you never have to fumble around tapping between tiny letters again.
  • How to enable: Press and hold the Spacebar until the keyboard keys go blank. Drag your finger around to move the cursor smoothly through any block of text.

3.

  • What it does: Secures private apps (like Banking, Photos, or Messaging) with Face ID, and hides them entirely from your Home Screen, Search, and Notifications.
  • How to enable: Long-press any app icon, select Require Face ID, and optionally choose Hide and Require Face ID. The app moves directly to a protected folder in your App Library.

4.

  • What it does: Vaporizes annoying sticky banners, pop-ups, and web clutter directly from Safari.
  • How to enable: Tap the Page Menu icon (left side of the Safari address bar) on any webpage and select Hide Distracting Items. Tap the elements you want to eliminate.

5.

  • What it does: Quickly creates multi-page PDF scans directly inside your native apps.
  • How to enable: Open Notes or Files, create a note/document, tap the Camera icon, and hit Scan Documents. Point your phone camera, let it automatically trim the borders, and save.

6.

  • What it does: Lets you adjust both the brightness level and the beam width of your flashlight.
  • How to enable: Turn on the flashlight and tap the interactive control in your Dynamic Island. Swipe vertically to adjust brightness and horizontally to narrow or widen the light beam.

7.

  • What it does: Allows you to quickly lift photos, text, or file attachments from one app and drop them straight into another.
  • How to enable: Touch and hold an image or highlighted text until it floats. Keep holding it with one finger while using your other hand to swipe out of the current app, open a second app (like Messages or Mail), and release.

8.

  • What it does: lets you turn off or restart your phone without having to squeeze the physical side buttons.
  • How to enable: Swipe down from the top-right corner to open the Control Center. Press and hold the Power Button icon in the upper-right corner until the shutdown slider appears.

9.

  • What it does: Generates a quick QR code on your display so guests can join your network instantly without having to reveal or spell out your complex password.
  • How to enable: Open the Passwords app, tap Wi-Fi, select your current network, and tap Show Network QR Code.

10.

  • What it does: Automatically changes your Home Screen layout, wallpaper, and allowed apps based on your location or time of day.
  • How to enable: Head to Settings > Focus. Set up custom profiles (like Work, Gym, or Sleep) and link them to specific lock screens or location triggers so your phone automatically hides distractions when you step into work or hit the gym.
