Game Overview​

A talking divine pit sits at the center of a strange little village, and its purification becomes the focus of a compact incremental adventure. Hole Is Mine mixes idle-number escalation with hands-on digging, casting you as Shelly, the worker who descends into increasingly hazardous depths while a crew of Mini’Ohs mines alongside her. Its colorful, slightly oddball presentation keeps the mood playful even as the mystery surrounding the Hole and its buried impurities grows. Rather than simply watching counters rise, you are steadily uncovering a place with its own secrets, inhabitants, and absurd spiritual plumbing.

Each descent revolves around breaking through layers of material, extracting impurities, and directing your miniature workers toward useful resources. Mini’Ohs provide the backbone of progression: you care for them, assign equipment, and combine their abilities to improve mining efficiency, survival, and other specialized jobs. Resources feed a substantial upgrade path with hundreds of unlocks, while discoveries from below help restore buildings and expand the village community above ground. The campaign spans roughly 40 depth levels, so the loop has a clear sense of forward motion rather than becoming an endless idle grind.

Its best idea is the way equipment experimentation gives the simple mining premise some buildcraft texture. With more than 500 possible gear combinations, different Mini’Ohs can become focused diggers, support units, or strange utility specialists, encouraging players to test combinations instead of automatically buying the next upgrade. Village rebuilding also gives your numbers tangible meaning, since every push deeper feeds visible growth on the surface. Fans of relaxed incrementals such as Cookie Clicker or small-scale management games will appreciate the steady rewards, while players who need demanding action or deep tactical combat may find its five-hour journey too light.
