📦 Android App I made P2P HomeCam Turn an old Android phone into a security camera

Hi everyone!
I’m an independent developer and I recently made an Android app called P2P HomeCam.
The idea is simple: instead of buying a dedicated CCTV camera, you can reuse an old Android phone or tablet as a home security camera and watch it from another Android device.
Main features: • P2P live video & audio
• Easy pairing with QR code + PIN
• Low-latency monitoring
• Local recording on the camera device
• Use multiple Android phones/tablets
• Useful for home, pets, babies, elderly family members, or office monitoring
I developed this app myself and I’m still improving it. I’d really appreciate feedback from Android users in the Philippines.

Sana ma update mo sir, kahit naka close ang app pwidi sa kabilang Cellphone pwidi parin gawing Cctv at makontrol ang rear cam, at front cam

may issue ako boss yung mic di ko mahinaan or turn off yung volume parang naka default na malakas yung volume...tas parang nag fefedback...

Thanks for the suggestion! I originally avoided background camera operation for privacy reasons and to prevent misuse as a hidden camera. But I’ll check if it can be implemented safely. I’ll also look into remote front/rear camera switching.

Thanks for reporting this, boss! I’ve fixed the audio feedback issue, and the update is now being released on Google Play. Please update the app when the new version becomes available.

Quick update, sir! I’ve made some progress on this feature. Background camera operation has been improved, and I’m still testing it for stability and privacy. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi boss!
At the moment, the app does not have manual recording. It currently provides motion-detection recording only.
All recorded videos are stored locally on the camera phone and are never uploaded or stored on our server. One of the main goals of this app is to protect users' privacy by keeping personal videos and data off the server.
Manual recording is a good suggestion, though! I'll review it and see how I can add it in a future update.
