Indonesia is home to one of the world’s most unusual coffees, called Kopi Luwak. It is made using coffee beans that pass through the digestive system of a small animal called the Asian palm civet. The beans are cleaned and processed before being brewed as coffee. Its unusual production method made it famous and expensive.
However, ethical concerns have been raised about some farming practices involving animals. The coffee remains one of the most talked-about examples of unique foods in the world.
