Producing honey requires an incredible amount of teamwork. Scientists estimate that bees collectively visit around 2 million flowers to make just one pound (about 454 grams) of honey. During this process, a single worker bee may fly thousands of kilometers over its lifetime collecting nectar.

Besides making honey, bees play a vital role in pollinating crops that humans rely on for food. Their work is essential to ecosystems and global agriculture.
