Elephants are known for their impressive intelligence and strong memory abilities. They can remember locations, recognize other elephants after many years, and learn complex behaviors. Their brains are among the largest of all land animals, allowing them to display problem-solving skills and emotional responses.
Elephants also communicate using sounds, body movements, and vibrations that can travel through the ground. They live in close family groups led by experienced females called matriarchs. Their social behavior is one reason scientists consider elephants among the most intelligent animals on Earth.
