VueScan Professional (Repack & Portable) is a program designed to replace the standard scanner interface with its own, more functionally rich interface that provides a host of additional features depending on the specific scanner model.

In most cases, the standard device driver offers extremely limited options for adjusting scanning parameters. By leveraging the often-hidden capabilities of a specific scanner, the program allows for flexible image processing, including advanced color correction, multi-pass and batch scanning capabilities, hardware exposure control, and selection of maximum color depth and file format.
Of particular interest is the ability to save raw scanner data to a file and then process this data while the device is turned off, eliminating the need to rescan originals and extending the life of the equipment.

VueScan is especially useful when working with transparent originals (negatives, slides), as it contains information on the color characteristics of over 150 film types. This primarily concerns the color negative mask, which can vary significantly between films and manufacturers. The program allows direct mask selection from a list of common films, as well as manual adjustment of the color components of the mask layer. User
settings can be saved to a special file, allowing you to create individual profiles for each type of work.
Automatic image defect removal is provided using the infrared scanning channel and multi-pass scanning with subsequent averaging of the results to suppress the scanner's own noise. Filters for grain suppression, soft-sharp masking, and removal of parasitic tint from the original are also available. Manual adjustments are also available for dynamic range and gradation characteristics (independently for the R, G, and B channels).

Supports more than 500 models of scanners and RAW files of 185 models of digital cameras.
