Nagsimula na ang Department of Education sa pag-audit ng bilang ng mga security personnel at security equipment, kabilang ang mga CCTV at metal detector, sa mga paaralan.
Layunin nitong higpitan pa ang security measures para sa kaligtasan ng mga estudyante kasunod ng insidente ng pamamaril sa San Jose National High School sa Tacloban City.
