Application Overview
KineStop is an utility application designed to mitigate kinetosis (motion/travel sickness) when using mobile devices in moving vehicles. Motion sickness occurs when conflicting signals are received by the inner ear and the eyes, triggering symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, and nausea. The application addresses this by simulating an artificial horizon on the device screen, aligning visual inputs with the inner ear's perception of motion. This allows users to read text or watch media with reduced discomfort. The simulated horizon is drawn over the screen as an overlay, maintaining compatibility with external e-book readers and media players. This method provides a non-pharmacological alternative to motion sickness medication, avoiding side effects like drowsiness.
