Hi everyone, I’m looking for the best laptop around ₱30,000 budget mainly for school use, especially AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.
My usage:
I’m considering Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, HP, etc. but I’m not sure which model gives the best value and long-term reliability for engineering/student use.
Questions:
1. What laptop would you personally recommend around this budget?
2. Is Ryzen 5 or Intel i5 better for AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS?
3. Is 8GB RAM enough or should I go straight to 16GB?
4. Do I need a dedicated GPU for SOLIDWORKS simulations?
5. Is it better to get a gaming laptop for better cooling and future-proofing?
I’d appreciate updated recommendations and real user experiences, especially from students or engineers using thes
e programs. Thanks!
My usage:
- AutoCAD (2D and possibly light 3D)
- SOLIDWORKS for modeling and some simulations
- Multitasking for school
- Maybe light gaming like Valorant
