WinToUSB (Repack & Portable) is a tool from Hasleo Software for installing and running Windows from a USB drive. This program is very easy to use. You can install the system using either an ISO image or a real bootable DVD.
After launching the program, the left panel will display icons for the OS source: an ISO image and an optical drive. For the ISO image, select the corresponding file on your PC; for the optical drive, insert the installation DVD into the drive. Then, select a removable USB drive of the required capacity (be sure to save all important data to it, as the drive will be formatted) and start the installation.
The program supports the WindowsToGo feature for Windows 8—a technology that allows the Windows 8 operating system to be fully operational from a USB drive. Unfortunately, this feature is not available for Windows 7, so some PCs may experience crashes and driver issues.
Overall, everything is very simple, accessible, understandable, and most importantly, you can now always have your favorite OS with customized settings at hand.
