Ang pagkakaalala ko, dati it took me 3 months bago nagbago yan.

You do not need to wait months for your SSS status to change from employed to voluntary. Once you generate a new Payment Reference Number (PRN) as a Voluntary Member and pay it, your membership type will automatically update in the system after the payment is posted.

Republic of the Philippines Social Security System
Here is the breakdown of the waiting time:
  • Reflection Time: The update generally takes about one to two weeks to reflect in your My.SSS account, although some users report it can happen in a few days to a month, especially when paying via GCash or at the SSS branch.
  • Immediate Change: The system treats the first payment made as a voluntary member as a voluntary contribution.
  • Verification: You can check the status on the My.SSS website under Member Info > Member Details to confirm it is listed as "Voluntary Paying".
