Overview
Flix Vision is a modular search engine for streaming content. It crawls third-party hosting websites to aggregate movies, TV shows, Live TV, and anime. - Subtitles: Resolved OpenSubtitles API download issues. Added support for changing subtitle encoding directly within the built-in player during playback.
- Autoplay: Fixed a bug where "Autoplay Next Episode" prompts appeared despite being disabled in settings.
- Trailers: Corrected playback failures on low-end hardware.
- Navigation: Improved mouse input support for embed links.
- Performance: Implemented minor stability and performance optimizations.
Technical Configuration & Installation
- UI Layout: The "Modern Layout" may exhibit glitches on TV-based devices. It is recommended to use the "Classic TV Layout" accessible via Settings > Restart.
- Live TV Performance: The current database contains 12,524 channels. On low-end hardware, channel groups may fail to load initially. Clearing cache/data and relaunching the app may be required to sync all groups.
- Casting: Default player casting is improved but remains variable depending on the hardware. VLC Player is recommended for users experiencing casting issues.
- Installation Procedure: * Select Decline and do not enable Play Protect during installation.
- On devices running older OS versions, ignore the app scan, select More Details, and choose Install Anyway.
- System notifications for the app can be manually disabled via Android app settings if desired.
Device Testing Environment
This build has been verified on 100% clean installs across the following hardware:- Boxes/Sticks: Nvidia Shield (Box/Tube), OnnBox/Stick (GoogleTV/AndroidTV), Chromecast HD, Fire TV Stick (Gen 3), and various hardware iterations from Android 9 through Android 14.
