Here is what ValiDrive does and why it is used:

• Identifies Fraudulent Capacity: Many counterfeit storage drives are programmed to misreport their actual size to the operating system (e.g., a 64GB drive claiming to be 1TB). While the computer might show a large capacity, trying to fill it results in data loss, as the drive silently discards data once its true capacity is reached.
• Random Spot-Checking: ValiDrive works by performing a real-time, random-sequence check across the entire advertised storage capacity of a drive.
• Verifies Data Integrity: It validates that every location on the drive can successfully write and read back data, ensuring the storage is real.
