Lockwatch - Thief Catcher v8.2.2 b822 [Premium]

Lockwatch is a security application designed to capture images of unauthorized users via the front-facing camera. The app triggers during failed unlock attempts, emailing the captured photo and GPS coordinates to the owner. It utilizes Android's built-in lock screen mechanisms and only activates during an event to minimize battery consumption.

Key Features

  • Intrusion Capture: Secretly captures photos and GPS location upon incorrect unlock codes.
  • SIM Swap Alerts: Emails location and new SIM details (phone number and network provider) if the SIM card is replaced.
  • Power-On Alerts: Sends an email with the device location when the phone is powered on after being switched off while locked.
  • Enhanced Media: Captures multiple photos per attempt and records a 20-second audio clip of the surroundings.
  • Offline Support: Saves alerts locally if no data connection is available and sends them once connectivity is restored.
  • Ad-Free: No in-app advertisements.

Important Usage Notes

  • Trigger Threshold: Android requires a minimum length of four digits or dots for PINs/patterns. Lockwatch only triggers if at least four characters are entered incorrectly.
  • Grace Period: If the correct code is entered within 10 seconds of a mistake, the alert is cancelled to prevent false positives.
  • Permissions Warning: During activation, Android displays a standard warning regarding the "erase all phone data" capability for Device Administrator apps. Lockwatch does not contain code to wipe device data.

What's New in v8.2.2

  • Improved reliability and quality of photos captured during intrusion alerts.
  • Alert emails now include the phone number when a SIM card is swapped.
  • Users can now clear saved alerts directly from the History screen.
