I’ve been developing a reviewer platform called CSE Arena, a mobile app designed to help people prepare for the Philippine Civil Service Exam (CSE) through structured practice and intelligent review tools.
The goal of the project is to move beyond static reviewer PDFs and build something more interactive, similar to modern learning apps.
Currently, the app contains 2,800+ exam-style questions covering major CSE areas such as numerical reasoning, verbal reasoning, logical reasoning, and general information. The questions are stored in a structured database and include explanations designed to teach step-by-step solutions.
Some of the core features implemented so far include:
Flash Review Mode
A rapid learning mode where questions are shown in three stages:
Question → Answer → Explanation.
Users can customize the speed (Slow, Normal, Fast) and session size (20, 50, or 100 questions).
Mock Exam Generator
Simulates the real Civil Service Exam by automatically pulling randomized questions from the database with proper category distribution.
Recognition Engine
Designed to train pattern recognition and logic solving speed, especially for number series and analytical reasoning questions.
Performance Tracking
Tracks accuracy and helps identify weak areas so users can focus on the topics they struggle with.
I’m continuing to improve the platform and would appreciate feedback from developers and educators on areas such as:
• Better exam simulation algorithms
• Adaptive learning strategies
• Question difficulty calibration
• UI/UX improvements for study efficiency
