Former “StarStruck” season one alumnus Alvin Aragon denied claims that he influenced his wife Izzy Trazona to leave the girl dance group SexBomb Girls.
In an interview, Alvin addressed speculation that he was behind Izzy’s departure from the group, clarifying that she had already left years before they married.
“Sinasabi nila, ‘Kaya pala wala sa SexBomb si Izzy dahil sa lalaking ’yan, eh.’ Teka lang, ha! Matagal nang wala si Izzy sa SexBomb, 2009 pa lang. Hindi pa nga ako ’yung asawa eh,” he said.
Alvin attributed Izzy’s decision to her Christian faith, saying her spiritual journey led her to step away from show business at the height of the group’s popularity.
According to him, Izzy personally explained her reasons to then manager Joy Cancio, citing concerns about the group’s name, costumes, and dance routines, which she felt no longer aligned with her beliefs.
He added that Izzy later sought his support before appearing at the group’s fourth reunion concert on Feb. 7 at the Mall of Asia Arena, where she planned to share her faith.
Alvin said he initially reflected and prayed about the decision before giving his blessing.
The couple married in 2012 and have since remained open about their shared religious convictions
