ABOUT THIS APP
Xproguard Firewall offers a robust network security solution for Android 8.0 and above, enabling granular control over application internet access without requiring root privileges. The utility utilizes the Android VPN Service to filter traffic locally on the device, ensuring that data remains private and is never routed through external servers. Users can implement either whitelist or blacklist configurations to manage connectivity for all installed packages. Beyond simple access control, the application serves as a defensive layer against unauthorized incoming connections and potential exploits. Its architecture emphasizes data sovereignty, as the developer collects no user information and shares no data with third parties. Key technical features include: Local VPN-based traffic filtering Comprehensive management of all system and user-installed apps Support for over 25 languages Ad-free interface with native Dark Mode Full device protection without administrative access By leveraging the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission, the app provides a transparent overview of the device's software ecosystem, allowing for precise security auditing and per-app network restrictions.
